Our film Three Card Draw will be showing at Riverview Theater on March 6th at 7pm. If we make it into the top 10 out of the 41 entrees, then our film will go on to the Best Of Fest at Mall Of America.

There’s no guarantee that our film will make it, but no matter what happens, several of our team members will be going to Best Of Fest to show our support for the hard work everyone has put into these films. It’ll be a fun night, and everyone who goes is also invited to the awards ceremony.

Burly Man draws his pistol

“The Burly Man takes another sip of his drink, pretending to ignore Werner. Werner begins to hum a tune softly, while still tapping on the bottle.

The Drifter watches Werner’s fingers tap, then looks up at the mirror, she sees another man approaching Werner, while drawing a pistol. This man is tall and slender, the opposite of the Burly Man. Just as Slender Man is about to raise his pistol to shoot Werner, the Drifter draws and spins around, shooting the Slender man in the forehead, sending him backwards into a table. The customers and whores at the table leap away and take cover. Gordon dives behind the bar.

Taking the opportunity, Burly Man draws his pistol and brings it up to shoot Werner.”

“The Drifter opens her eyes, as Kaitlyn puts her hands over the broken jutting bone. Kaitlyn squeezes her eyes closed, and grits her teeth. The muscles in her neck stand out as she strains. A bright light suddenly flashes from her hands. The Minister gasps, quickly shields his face, then disappears. The Drifter’s sight grows dark.

The Drifter can see again, as the young girl’s hands glow. The protruding bone slowly sinks back into the Drifter’s leg. The Drifter cries out in pain, as the darkness slowly envelopes her sight again.”

Ride into the center of Gehenna

“The Drifter continues to ride into the center of Gehenna. The homes and buildings of Gehenna are all built out of scrap material and tin, but in the center of the settlement the buildings are all new and built out of lumber from the nearby forests. Many of the buildings are decorated with signs and objects from a long forgotten past. Non-working soda machines, beer signs that no longer light up, advertisements that promised things they could no longer deliver. All these objects give the center of Gehenna a sense of nostalgia from a time when they were useful.” ~Ash Land: Chapter 01
